Discharge

Our attending physician alone can determine the day when you are authorized to leave.
At the time of discharge, you have to settle all your account. All unused charge cards, along with the discharge authorization signed by the attending physician, are sent from the floor with a messenger to the Billing Department. The bill is routed to the cashier who will call you for payment. If you have full coverage, the bill will be stamped "Clear" by the cashier. But, if you have a partial coverage, you have to settle the difference between the approved amount and the actual charges.
When your doctor writes your discharge order, you are kindly requested to leave your room before 11:00 am. Patients who stay after 11:00 am will be charged an extra day. If you have any problems concerning your departure from the Medical Center, you may ask the charge nurse on your nursing unit. Taxi services may be arranged via the Patients’ Relations Office on telephone: 00961-1-374374 or 00961-1-350000 ext: 6010/1.
