muftiinside.jpeg September, 2014--Dr. Thalia Arawi, Founding Director of the Salim El-Hoss Bioethics and Professionalism Program at AUB-FM/MC, was received by his excellency the Grand Mufti Abdul Latif Darian at Dar el Iftaa on September 22, 2014.

Dr. Arawi acquainted the Grand Mufti with the program and its regional outreach. The meeting was very successful as collaboration and commitment from the Grand Mufti was conveyed to support SHBPP and its activities. SHBPP has always made sure to include the point of view of Dar al Iftaa and the Church by having members from the Clergy partake in conferences on various bioethical issues.
This visit marks the beginning of a promising collaboration between SHBPP and Dar al Iftaa as was the case with his Beatitude Cardinal Bechara Al Rai in Bkerke on December 12, 2013.
